Installation and first checks

After this page, you should be able to open App Hub, create a local app, and know when a Qixin sign-in or Runtime target account is required.

Before you start

  • Windows, macOS, and Linux are supported.
  • Use the current installer or archive supplied by your team.
  • Before connecting physical equipment or a remote Runtime target, ask the site administrator for the address, account, and certificate requirements.

Install and start

  1. Install or extract Qixin Industrial Platform.
  2. Start the Theseus desktop app.
  3. Wait for App Hub to appear.

The desktop app prepares the services required for local editing and runtime operations. You do not have to sign in or wait for every app to build before App Hub becomes usable.

Confirm that startup succeeded

You are ready for local work when:

  • App Hub opens.
  • The left sidebar shows create, import, and learning entries.
  • System settings can be opened.
  • No startup error remains on screen and blocks normal work.

If App Hub does not appear or the local service repeatedly reports that it is unavailable, go to Startup and connection.

When an account is required

Theseus has three account domains. For the first tutorial, remember only this:

  • Create and edit locally: no Qixin sign-in is required.
  • Qixin code hosting, online License, and AI entitlement: sign in with an Editor Qixin account when needed.
  • Run, Debug, Deploy, or manage a Runtime target: connect or initialize an account for that target when prompted.
  • Open a runtime page protected by business permissions: use an app user belonging to that app.

See Three account domains and permissions for the complete distinction.

Optional: confirm the runtime target

The first tutorial uses the local Runtime target. Configure a remote target only when the app must run on another machine.

  1. Open the Runtime group in system settings.
  2. Confirm that the current target is local, or select the remote target supplied by your team.
  3. When a protected operation is required, follow the on-screen prompt to connect, sign in, or complete first-time initialization.

See Connect a Runtime target for the complete remote workflow.

Next step

Continue with Your first AI-assisted app. You will create an app, ask AI to build a page, inspect the changes, and open the runtime page.
